IRS CP134B Notice: Employer Account Adjustment

The CP134B notifies you of an adjustment to your employer tax account. The change may involve a correction to employment tax deposits, an adjustment to wages and withholding amounts, or a credit applied from an overpayment in another period.

Verify Against Payroll Records

Compare the adjustment to your payroll records, Forms 941, and deposit history. If the IRS adjusted your wages or withholding, verify the amounts against your W-2s and W-3. If they adjusted deposits, compare to your EFTPS records.

If the adjustment is incorrect, respond with documentation showing the correct amounts. If it's correct, verify the resulting balance and take any needed action.

If your employer account was adjusted, call us at (813) 229-7100.
